Converteam AMC Systems

Designed/developed and built by Eltech - a typical example of an ETX project. This system uses a 600MHz celeron based module, which plugs on to a custom designed carrier.

The carrier gives access to serial ports, parallel ports, IDE, Keyboard, Mouse & USB Ports.

The design also adds 5 LAN port PCI devices and allows for a stack of 4 PC104+ PCI devices. The ETX solution removed the need for a complicated CPU design which would have been necessary for a complete custom solution.

It also allows for an easy upgrade path as new, faster ETX modules are brought to market, without the need to redesign the carrier/system.
